About Me

Hi my name is Mike Close, I am a photographer from Grand Blanc Michigan. I specialize in Astrophotography, Landscape photography and fine art portraiture. I live in mid-Michigan but travel often and am always taking photos wherever I go.

I got started in photography when I was 10 years old and took a photography class where I learned to develop my first images in the darkroom.  I have been hooked ever since.  When I turned 50 I decided to retire from the corporate world and use my newfound freedom to travel and make photography my new vocation.

I love all types of photography but my passions are: landscape photography, astrophotography and creating unique fine art portraiture in the studio.
